The School Board has approved the following changes in the dates for the start of school. First day for teachers is Aug. 17. First day for Virtual Learning Program students in grades 1-12 is Aug. 31. First day for in-person/hybrid model students is Sept. 8. First day for preK/Head Start/kindergarten students is Sept. 14.

Staying Connected & Honor Roll

I hope all of you are staying safe during this time. We miss seeing all of our pelican families and we hope to see each of you soon. Any student that took Spring pictures can pick up the pictures at our drive by on Wednesday, May 20 from 3:00-4:00. Please make sure that you have a sign displayed in your window with your child's name, grade level, and teacher's name. We will also celebrate our 8th graders with a drive by on Wednesday, May 20 from 4:00-6:00. Please make sure to use the car rider line. We hope to see all of our 8th graders!

School Closure Updates - I hope all of our LPE families are staying safe. We miss each of you! Based on the latest updates, the stay at home has been extended for the remainder of this school year. Our teachers will continue to provide learning opportunities for our students. Top Gains School

Lake Pontchartrain Elementary was recognized for being named a Top Gains school by the Louisiana Department of Education. Schools are named Top Gains schools when they outperform expectations by increasing their school performance score by more than 10 points. GO PELICANS!!!!!!!
